Among different types of films (that is comedy, romantic drama, western, adventure film, police drama or detective film, psychological thriller, horror film, historical film) best of all I like comedy and romantic drama, because such films are very cheerful and full of life. I don't like horror films and I find them quite disgusting.

Sometimes I may watch a police drama or a historical film, biography or animation, but I'm not very keen on these types of films. Usually I see films either in the cinema or on the DVD or CD. But from time to time I go to the cinema. Now let me tell you about one of my favourite films "Gone with the wind" by the novel by Margaret Mitchell. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of its producer, but I like the acting.

Scarlett O'Hara there is no more lively character, which makes the reader and the spectator palpitate (in the film this role was played by Vivian Lee). Maybe the words from the Irish song are about Scarlett: "if the Irish eyes are laughing, oh, they' re stealing your heart". Scarlett goes through many trials and troubles, but her sharp and strong mind, her strong will help her to survive. And not only to survive, but to render and to develop moral values in this cruel world. Rat was telling her in vain that they were both scoundrels. He is cynical by conviction, she is under the pressure of circumstances.

Scarlett is a symbol of wonderful America, the child, who was crippled with greed, but didn't lose inner beauty. Even her name, which was found at the last moment in the publishing house contained the ideal and vice, innocence and regeneration. In English it sounds like Scarlett flower and illness (scarlet fever). Much in common, though their characters and fates are different, has Scarlett with the character of another film Jane Eyre. They are too different, but at the same time too similar. Scarlett is very beautiful, flighty and noisy. Jane isn't beautiful. She is modest and peaceful. But they are both strong in the difficult minutes of the life. Scarlet and Jane for the sake of love can pass through all the difficulties. They are faithful to their men. And I like it, that they, thank to their mind and abilities reached a lot in life. And eventually people get to appreciate both of them.

Nowdays there are a lot of films. Among them everyone can find something for himself. But there are also some movies, which are absolutely for everyone. Let me tell about such a film, and exactly about “Gone with the Wind”. It is one of my favourite films.

Firstly, I would like to tell you some interesting facts about it. This masterpiece appeared in 1939. It was the first colorful movie. It brought not only the house, but also the whole world down. It won 8 Oscars. Isn’t it fantastic?

Now let’s think about the plot.
Firstly, the name of the film “Gone with the Wind” is very interesting. When you hear such  words you think about a colorful field , with a lot of flowers, and of course about the wind blowing over there. But we don’t see this picture in the film at all. It is a historical romance about  Civil war in America. We cannot call it neither a romance for women, nor a historical movie for men. “Gone with the Wind” is a unique movie for everyone.

For me not only the plot was very important, but also the actor’s work and it was more than brilliant. Vivien Li and Clark Gamble are fantastic! It is very difficult to imagine them in other costumes, playing other roles, because they are Scarlett and Rhett  forever!

The characters of their heroes are very difficult but extremely interesting.
Scarlett O’Hara is a pretty woman. She doesn’t know what she really wants. She doesn’t realize how true her love for Rhett is!
Rhett Butler is the most brilliant son of Atlanta. He is strong and handsome. His image is not so good. But the most important thing about him is that he loved only one woman, and she didn’t know, she loved him.

They reach different crossroads in life. And their solutions can be very good examples for us.
Once Scarlett said: “I will thing about it tomorrow.”  It has become one of the main principles for me, because I think it is very cleaver.
A great impression is built by decorations. The fields of Tara are fantastic, the burned streets of Atlanta look scared.
In conclusion, I want to admit, the main theme of these film is love, the main heroes show us what is love and what we should or shouldn’t do. Once Paulo Koalio said “ Neither the time nor the wisdom change the human, only one thing can rebuilt his life, feelings and thoughts and this thing is love”
